Times are tough y'all. Every time I open Twitter, or turn on the news -- it's bad. All. The. Time. And it never ever seems to end. But did you know you could relieve your stress by petting sweet farm animals? That's exactly what I did when visiting my parents this summer in Northern New York. Old McDonald's Farm in Sackets Harbor, New York was just the ticket to my happiness. We called ahead to make sure none of the animals would be slaughtered in the future, and they assured me they would not. No way in hell I was going to bond with a pig that would someday, well... you know. I have been hearing about Old McDonald's since I was a kid, and somehow had never been -- and boy have we been missing out!
Piggies, and cows, and camels, OH MY! Old McDonald's Farm is great for kids and families, but as a childless 36 year old woman I can confess I had a blast! Nothing will sooth the soul quite like making friends with a baby goat. So clearly I brought my camera. Enjoy!
